Sometimes I just feel like spewing out ideas and since I am overly contemplative...
If God says it's best for us to obey his law, that does not mean it is best for him to do the same, thus, logically, he would not be unfaithful or unjust if he lies or devices.
I do not believe in absolute or universal morality. Some people say that certain actions are " just wrong " or that " it's the right thing to do." Rights and wrongs are simply descriptions of and answer to a question. 2+2=4. 4 is right if you want the logical answer. It is wrong eat poison if you want to live. So, a 'right' or 'wrong' cannot simply exist on its own, they have to be in a response to a question. Why is it wrong to murder? Just because? Or is it the wrong answer to a question. How do we protect ourselves... we do not condone murder, we punish it, we teach ourselves to hate it. That is the 'right' answer. God's laws are to protect us and offer us a chance at a peaceful life ( or so I interpret ). If his 'rights' and 'wrongs' are an answer to a question regarding humans and their condition, then they are not universal, they are simply enforced suggestions for our benefit that if not heeded come with consequences in relative outcome and in the afterlife.
Lets stop calling them sins and start calling them what they are. I think that would make more of an impact.
Politicians, ideally, should care for the people and believe in democracy. If the people choose one, than the other should be happy that democracy been implemented and should offer their support in a positive way. If most people decided they want to cut down all the trees in the world, then democracy says that is what should happen. If people decide they want to destroy all things that cause pollution, then that is what should happen. Democracy is a dictatorship of many. The many should decide what happens.
I like things that are fun. Food tastes good. TV makes me happy. Girls are hot but not the ugly ones. Red pens make me feel like a failure when I fail, boohoo. I've heard of some bands before they were popular, that makes me as cool as them.
